How does SecurOS® Soffit work?
Standby Mode
When no pedestrian is detected, the LED projector provides static illumination across the pedestrian crossing at approximately 20% power, maintaining baseline visibility while reducing unnecessary full-power lighting.
Active Mode
When SecurOS® Soffit detects a pedestrian within the control zone, dynamic illumination activates at 100% LED power and follows the person through the crosswalk, using either constant or pulsating light while the remaining modules maintain static illumination.
Return to Standby
Once the pedestrian has completed the crossing and leaves the monitored zone, SecurOS® Soffit automatically returns to standby mode, restoring static crosswalk illumination until the next pedestrian is detected.
