What is Intellisection® AIDE?
Intellisection® AIDE, or Automatic Incident Detection Engine, is an AI-powered traffic incident detection solution for proactive roadway monitoring. It combines video analytics, sensors, and data integration tools to detect irregularities, identify safety-critical events, and support faster operational decision-making.
What types of traffic incidents can Intellisection® AIDE detect?
AIDE can detect and classify roadway events including traffic jams, suspected and confirmed vehicle crashes, wrong-way driving, stopped vehicles in restricted areas, vehicles on sidewalks, speeding, minimum-speed violations, abrupt speed changes, pedestrians in restricted areas, and animals on the roadway. Separate modules are also available for debris, smoke, and fire detection.
Does Intellisection® AIDE provide real-time alerts?
Yes. AIDE detects, classifies, and reports roadway incidents in real time, providing operators with live alerts and recorded evidence when an event is identified.
Can AIDE monitor multiple traffic lanes?
Yes. Intellisection® AIDE supports continuous multi-lane roadway monitoring 24/7, helping traffic operators maintain awareness across monitored road sections without relying only on manual observation.
What road users can AIDE detect and classify?
AIDE supports object classification for people, vehicles, and animals, allowing the system to analyze different types of roadway users and their behavior.
Can Intellisection® AIDE analyze road-user behavior?
Yes. AIDE analyzes road-user behavior and roadway activity to identify irregular or potentially dangerous conditions, including sudden speed changes and other traffic events defined by configured detection rules.
What cameras does Intellisection® AIDE support?
AIDE supports fixed box cameras, dome cameras, and PTZ cameras using overview or angled camera views. The minimum required frame rate is 15 FPS, and a 1920 × 1080 at 15 FPS stream is recommended for advanced incident detection.
Can Intellisection® AIDE integrate with other traffic systems?
Yes. AIDE can send detected incident data to third-party traffic control systems for databasing and analysis and can support integration with traffic management centers, law enforcement, and emergency dispatch systems.
